Subscription Terms
Last updated: September 1, 2026
These Subscription Terms describe how billing, renewal, cancellation, and plan changes work for paid ApiSorcery plans. Read together with our Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.
1. Billing Cycle
- Monthly plans are billed every calendar month from the initial purchase date.
- Annual plans are billed once every 12 months from the initial purchase date. Annual plans are offered at approximately 2 months free compared to paying monthly.
- All charges are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our merchant of record. Paddle applies the appropriate VAT, GST, or sales tax at checkout based on your billing country.
2. Currency and Pricing
- List prices are displayed in USD. Paddle converts and charges in your local currency at checkout when supported.
- Applicable taxes are calculated and added at checkout — the total you approve at checkout is what will be charged.
3. Automatic Renewal
By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us (through Paddle) to automatically charge your payment method at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- Renewal notice: For annual plans, Paddle sends a reminder email at least 7 days before the renewal charge. Monthly plans renew without individual reminder, per industry practice.
- Price changes: If we change subscription prices, we will notify existing subscribers by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your next renewal at the new price serves as acceptance; you may cancel before the renewal date if you do not accept.
4. Credits, Devices, and Seats
- 1 credit = 1
apisorcery generatecall, regardless of the number of endpoints in the spec. - Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over.
- Overage generation is billed on a pay-per-use basis at the published overage rate.
- Device seat limits are enforced per plan. See the Pricing page for current allowances.
5. Plan Changes
5.1 Upgrades
- Upgrading to a higher plan (e.g., Pro → Team) takes effect immediately.
- Paddle handles proration automatically: you are charged the pro-rated difference for the remainder of the current period.
- New credit and device allowances apply immediately.
5.2 Downgrades
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- The current period retains the higher plan's benefits.
- If, after downgrade, your active devices exceed the new plan limit, you must deregister the extras before the downgrade takes effect.
5.3 Switching Billing Frequency
- Monthly → Annual: applied immediately, with proration.
- Annual → Monthly: applied at the end of the current annual period.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time via Account → Manage subscription in the console, which opens the Paddle customer portal.
- Cancellation stops all future automatic renewals.
- Your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for.
- Cancellation does not by itself trigger a refund — see the Refund Policy for refund eligibility.
7. Pause and Resume
Where offered by Paddle, you may pause a subscription for a limited window; access is suspended until resumed and no charges are made during the paused period. Contact support if the option is not visible in your portal.
8. Failed Payments and Dunning
If a renewal charge fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.):
- Paddle automatically retries the charge over several days.
- You will receive email notifications from Paddle prompting you to update your payment method.
- Your service will not be suspended immediately. If retries continue to fail, the subscription is canceled and access ends at the last successfully paid period.
9. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate paid access if you violate the Terms of Service. In such cases:
- Unused credits are not refunded.
- Automatic renewals are canceled.
- Generated code files you previously downloaded remain yours to use.
10. Invoices
Paddle issues a compliant invoice for each successful payment. Invoices are sent by email and are accessible any time via the Paddle customer portal.
To add a VAT ID, tax ID, or updated billing address to future invoices, update it in the Paddle customer portal before the next renewal.
11. Merchant of Record
Paddle.com Market Limited is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email and reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the paid service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
